Al-Uswah Al-Hasanah Journal
The Al-Uswah Al-Hasanah journal represents a pioneering initiative in academic and Islamic publishing. It is a monthly scholarly, research-based, and reformative magazine dedicated to addressing societal and religious issues while upholding journalistic integrity. The journal strives to counter sensationalism in media, advocate for truthfulness and sincerity, and serve as the voice of the voiceless and the oppressed.
Since its inception in October 2004, under the guidance of former university director Dr. Muhammad Rashid Randhawa, the journal has made a significant contribution to intellectual and religious discourse. Dr. Maqbool Ahmed Makki, a graduate of Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, and a faculty member at the University of Karachi and Jamia Abi Bakar Al-Islamia, has served as its editor-in-chief since its establishment.
Objectives of Al-Uswah Al-Hasanah Journal:
- Promoting the oneness of Allah (Tawheed) and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
- Combating sectarianism and prejudices while fostering unity.
- Advocating for social reform, especially in response to challenges posed by external influences.
- Preserving and reviving Islamic values in contemporary society.
- Upholding Islamic ideologies in journalism, ensuring ethical and principled reporting.
With over 225 published editions and an annual circulation of 12 issues, Al-Uswah Al-Hasanah continues to be a vital resource for academic and spiritual enrichment, serving as a cultural and intellectual voice for the institution.
